Kaz Collins – An Artist Forged by Pain and Resilience
I am a survivor! I have battled illness with severe chronic pain for over 30 years. I’ve traveled through a Mast Cell Activation Disorder, Spine Cyst Surgery, Partial Sacrectomy, Ovarian Cancer, Sepsis with Coma, and 30 years of Lyme Disease. In spite of these obstacles I have pursued a career as an artist.
Step back into the untamed, defiant spirit of the Philly Punk 1980's era with prints of my artworks. Move forward into the meditative stance of the Covid era with vivid realistic portraits of animals and people.

An Artist Forged Through Street Level Experience
1980’s: Murals and Hand Painted Sneakers and Clothing for Zipperhead and East Side Club and The Crypt in Philadelphia
1990's: Murals, tattooing and Performance Dance Art at Club Five in Five Points Jacksonville, FL.
1989-2013: Tattooist in neighborhood shops, apprenticeship and learning from experienced tattooist teachers I created an art style of my own.
2022: Returning to my childhood roots of art lessons from my father, I began online classes from Bonny Snowdon and Dave Porter learning to produce realistic animal and human portraits in traditional fine art fashion.
